These teams excel in this facet of the game because they use starters. Special teams players get to eat first, so players volunteer for this duty; which is also a badge of courage that guys fight for the spots on special teams. Observation 2: Is it possible that Fulmer is letting loyalties affect his judgement in which players should start once again? Is it possible that Nick Stephens may be a better choice as starting quarterback in this system. Stephens does not have the arm of Crompton, but he appears to be accurate on the short to medium throws which obviously eludes the starter. Observation 3: When is Chavis going to realize that the only thing a Prevent Defense does is prevent you from winning. We would have won against UCLA even with the anemic offense had we not employed Chavis's favorite offensive strategy. If it ain't broke don't fix it. UCLA was unable to do anything against our defense until Chavis tried to outsmart himself. Observation 1:

And if I hear someone else lay out the theory that I have no right to talk about the program because I never played football, I am going to lay someone out. That's like saying you can't criticize the president because you have never run for office ... just goofy logic. We all do different things for Tennessee like you said, whether it be giving money, paying our season ticket dues, buying paraphernalia, or yelling our butts off. I really want this team to turn the thing around and win the rest of our games. Where does that get us though? We get the same thing year in and year out following the Fulmerscuse, and all is well on the Hill. If he didn't suddenly get stupid, then he better start acting like it. I agree.
