Your school was named after a cathedral in Paris, France. It seems to me that your school’s mascot should at the least be named the “Fightin’ Pussies” with a pink vagina called “Pearly”.

And please don’t even bring up the fact that you went to 2 BCS bowls that you didn’t deserve to go to and promptly got dispatched. True, those Patriot teams were less talented…on the offensive side of the ball. I seem to remember a Patriots defense that shut down a very high powered Ram defense in 2002 and a pretty diverse Panther and Eagle offense in 2004 and 2005 in the Super Bowl wins. The offense scored some points, but then again, I seem to remember a coach nicknamed “Hoodie” that is still there running the show. It was a TEAM effort, headed by a genius coach, Spygate notwithstanding. And a true fan would not have misspelled “Wies”…

To the BCS contention, I personally didn’t want to play those bowl games, in fact I wanted them to be slighted out of the bowls to give them the grit and determination that spurred Miami several years ago. But I don’t think we should feel bad at the fact that a Notre Dame team lost to this years National Champion. They had a weak defense, and everybody knew it. So they got chosen to play in a home game for LSU, and yes got beat badly.

I wanted an equally overrated Oklahoma and have LSU do to Boise State what Georgia did to Hawaii last year. From what we have seen at this years Rose Bowl the school has no say over who picks them. But then that would require an objectivity that can not be present when one is motivated by envy.

The fact that you praise Alabama of all places as being special in God’s eyes seeing how they are the Dixie Notre Dame, living off what happened in the past even worse than the Irish. The pure fact that Auburn has had the level of success is testament to the failure of Alabama to get past its own history.
