Rich “Dirty Sanchez” Rodriguez Talks to Michigan Behind West Virginia’s Back

Well Big Eleven Ten fans prepare yourself for the possibility of Big East mediocrity invading your conference. The University of Michigan must be pretty desperate now that leader of the corndogs, Les “Big Hat Small Penis” Miles has said that unthinkable word “no” to their offer. Now the focus is on Rich Rodriguez, the West Virginia football coach. Story
There seems to be a problem, no one told West Virginia officials that he was taking a little trip to Toledo to speak with Michigan athletic director Bill Martin about the coaching vacancy. Leave it to the crack bribing reporting of ESPN to break the story. Wait…didn’t they also break the story of Les Miles going to Michigan? Way to sabotage Curt Herbstreet!!
This latest rumor appears to be different though. Instead of holding an over-dramatic press conference to deny the report, Rodriguez simply states “Going to practice. I’m going to practice,” after arriving back in Morgan Town from Toledo where the interview occurred. Why in the hell is Michigan interviewing coaching candidates in the state of Ohio? Isn’t that considered blasphemous?
Of course the always in the dark and last to know, West Virginia athletic director Ed Pastilong says he wasn’t aware that Rodriguez was even in Ohio.
Psstt Ed I have a secret to tell you and you can’t tell anyone. Your coach was in Ohio speaking with the AD of Michigan about the job vacancy there. Are you happy now? Now you know and as GI Joe says, “Knowing is half the battle”.
“He has not shared that with me,” Pastilong told The Associated Press. “Rich has not mentioned anything of that nature to me. Secondly, we have a strong commitment with Rich, a strong contract. We’re strongly committed to him and he’s strongly committed to us. I think it would be unusual that he would be doing that without sharing it with us.”
Ed, buddy pal, he was in Ohio and the AP even caught up with him the airport while he was returning from Ohio. Face the facts man. Damn.
Michigan said I could have my own Mexican gardener. I’m taking him with me.
This is the third coach that Michigan has approached and the second coach from the Big East, the other being Rutgers’ Greg Schiano. Of course after seeing his dreams of a national championship go down quicker than the Titanic when Pitt defeated West Virginia, Rodriguez was quoted as saying:
“The impact of your name being thrown about is sometimes a little overrated. It probably makes for a lot of angst among families and we don’t want that, sorry but you all are stuck with me here.”
Will Rich Rodriguez be the Nick Saban of the Big Eleven Ten? We’ll all shall know soon enough.

Michigan made the last WVU coach they hired pay his buyout all on his own (per Andy Katz of ESPN). Should be interesting….

Rich Petrinonez, oops, Rodriguez just made himself eligible for the “Liesman” Trophy and could edge Petrinonez for the award. At least he won’t have to face Applachian State but he should be able to pull a “Pitt” with Utah, Miami(Ohio) or Toledo.

rich rodriguez is a great coach but is a lying piece of crap. he said that he wasnt taking the michigan position and then the next day announced that he was in fact accepting the position. all of wv will now hope for him to fail until of course they meet ohio state. i hope that he fails miserabley and i am very disappointed in his integrity. GO MOUNTAINEERS….MICHIGAN AND RODRIGUEZ SUCKS

I’m finished with school. I went to Tennessee where they win football championships. Never been to West Virginia with my gay friends IE: members of your family. So sorry.

Since when is 27,000 students considered a “small school?” And it must really suck to lose your saving grace in a state with nothing else to show for itself besides Bob Byrd. And why can’t TtT and the rest of us be proud of what school WE went to?
As for Michigan – I wouldn’t speak of such ill unless you’ve lived at least 15 years there. I have, so I can bitch about how the state absolutely bites the big one. But the school? Leave the school alone unless you’ve got something else to go on except that you yourself are a sore loser.

OK, guys, chill your little “I HATE WVU” butts down! Don’t you have anything better to do than see who can piss off who more? I’m really impressed with all those NOT from WVU – your attitude and language skills are a real tribute to your school, and you represent them so well. As for WVU folks, if we’re rude, it’s because you took aim at us for so long. Actually, I don’t find it necessary to defend myself as a WVU girl — I think we’ve finally gotten the long overdue national respect we deserve as a top-notch school, not to mention the Athletics Dept. with 25 sports organizations holding current national rankings. All of this national ourpouring of attention, no matter how crude, speaks several strong statements which only complement us more. First, you obviously are hung up on our partying status which you make such frequent reference to– in fact, you probably secretly wish you attended WVU. Secondly, all of your “yapping” does nothing more than bring even more public attention to us, and for some reason, you can’t handle it! Sounds like envy and jealousy to me. And while some sportwriters and media ignored us for so long in the past, well, they have no choice – report on the TOP teams, or forget about climbing that corporate ladder. One more thing before I go: everyone in Michigan is all up-in-arms about Coach Rod having no prior ties to the school or even to the state of Michigan. Look at how strongly Rod was tied to WVU – practically still attached to the umbilical cord! Maybe, but because you guys are airing out dirty laundry, plus the big “choke job” against PItt that only made the boys in Vegas happy gave you more negative press than positive. Plus you guys whining instead of moving on makes things even better. You guys are bringing more attention to yourselves (i.e. comments like these) than anyone else can bring you. Your coach left you, get over it. That is what happens in big time athletics.

Funny that you polled EVERYONE in the state, because I actually have a few friends who are alums of Michigan and they are EXCITED to have an exciting brand of football being played in Ann Arbor. And all of these guys are season ticket holders, and the people that they sit with for games at the “Big House” are excited too.
West Virginia has bigger problems, like no national championships or Heisman winners, may or may not be giving out degrees (allegedly), and having the second worst economy in the country.
